Sabrina Scoops Mayor's Award

The Mayor's Award scheme is Shrewsbury's equivalent of 'The Oscars' with local individuals, organisations, groups and businesses being recognised for achievements which have benefited the town.

Nominations are encouraged in several categories including a built heritage award, business award, community award, environmental award, youth award and tourism award.

Sabrina Boat was nominated for a 'tourism award' and we attended a pleasant awards ceremony at the Guildhall on Wednesday 8th May 2013 hosted by Helen Ball, Town Clerk and Mayor Councillor Keith Roberts. It was a nerve racking wait to hear whether we had won an award, but we were thrilled to find out that not only had we won a gold award, but we also won the overall 'tourism award'. Dilwyn, Managing Director, recieved a sheild and certificate which are now proudly displayed in our office.

We are delighted to have all our hard work in the town recognised, and hope that we can encourage more and more visitors to our beautiful town of flowers.
