April saw 30-tonne Sabrina winched out of the water by crane on to Frankwell car park for a bi-annual inspection.
The Maritime Coastguard Agency requires that Sabrina is lifted out of the water every two years so that they can conduct ultrasound and hull inspections to check for any deficiencies or cracks.
As part of the inspection the prop, rudder and prop shaft were all examined, as were our health and safety plans. We also took the opportunity to give Sabrina's hull a thorough clean and paint before lifting her back into the water and had a team of mechanics, welders, boat engineers and painters helping us to get this all done in one day.
We had hoped to have Sabrina inspected before our season started in March, but we were hit by delays due to rising river levels which meant it was unsafe to do this until now.
