River Cruises - with a twist!

As a result of the Shrewsbury River Regatta this weekend (11th & 12th), once a year our daily boat trips take a different turn - quite literally! instead of our normal River Severn route down to the English Bridge, we head up stream under the Welsh Bridge into the beautiful countryside passing the likes of Darwins house and the Shrewsbury Show Ground. This route is normally exclusive to private hires, so if you're planning on stopping by the Regatta to watch some races, stop by and join us for a unique trip!

River Severn Clean Up

The river clean up began in Shrewsbury as part of the annual Love Your Magnificent River Severn campaign by Shropshire Wildlife Trust.

Trust staff and volunteers canoed sections of the waterway removing as much litter as they can.

We let our trusty Picnic Boat 'Little Rea' lose for this occasion to help volunteers collect rubbish from the banks and to carry larger items pulled from the river.

Some items pulled from the river included a stack of traffic cones, an office chair, a saw, lots of broken bottles and even a bike! In total Shropshire Council took three trailer loads of rubbish away.

Watch this space!

We've been working on a super secret project these past 2 months and it's soon to be revealed!

There will be a few hints around Shrewsbury town centre, so if you're walking around town this week, keep an eye out for posters with the Sabrina logo..

All to be revealed this Sunday at the River Festival!
